Clipstone Welfare F.C. is an English football club based in Clipstone, near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. The club are currently members of the North Division of the Central Midlands League and play at the Lido Ground.

History

The club was established in 1928 as Clipstone Combine, and initially played in the Colliery Alliance at a ground near Mansfield Road. They later moved to Baulker Lane and were renamed Clipstone Boys Brigade before adopting their current name. The club moved up to the Mansfield & District League, later transferreing to the Sutton & Skegby League and the Nottingham Spartan League. They won the league, league cup and Notts Intermediate Cup in 1955–56. They then moved up to the Notts Alliance and moved to the Lido Ground.

In 1972­–73 they won the Senior Division and the Notts Senior Cup, a feat repeated in the next two seasons. They began entering the FA Vase in 1974, reaching the second round in their first season. They won back-to-back league titles in 1992–93 and 1993–94, before moving up to the Central Midlands League.[1] In 1994–95 they won the league's Premier Division, and after winning it for a second time in 1996–97, were promoted to the Supreme Division
